Underwriting Services Assistant I

Location: Broomfield, CO 80021 - Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)
Contract: 6-12 months, potential contract-to-hire
Pay: $24/hr W2

Job Summary

Seeking an Underwriting Services Assistant I to support insurance underwriting operations. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with about 1 year of experience in insurance, mortgage, customer service, or administrative support.

Responsibilities
  • Process underwriting transactions, including binds, endorsements, and cancellations
  • Manage shared inboxes, queues, and Outlook requests
  • Review, organize, and route underwriting-related work
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Follow established procedures and workflows
  • Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in insurance, mortgage, customer service, or administration
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to learn underwriting processes and work in a fast-paced environment
