Description:

Qnity Electronics Inc. has an opening for a Technical Associate with a strong background in Chemical/Materials synthesis, purification, scale-up and process development. The Technical Associate is responsible for developing process to meet performance requirements aligned with our core technology roadmap.

Job description:

  • Process development of nanomaterials synthesis and purification at small and large scales.
  • Plan, design, and develop process methods and procedures. Perform experiments required to achieve high quality data.
  • Enable sound process and product development decisions to continuously improve processes and yield conclusive results.
  • Execute process characterization and investigations to establish process limits.
  • Define technical specifications to develop new processing methods, and to improve product performance aligned with internal/external customer requirements.
  • Analyze and optimally communicate results to the team and project leaders.
  • Participate in phases of product/process development, including discovery, laboratory tests, characterization, scale-up, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Prepare technical reports and summaries to document and present experimental results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related disciplines. No industrial experience required.
  • Critical/logical thinking to identify problems/process deviations from a variety of perspectives to assess the best solutions.
  • Familiarity with JMP or related software, design of experiment, and statistical analysis.
  • Self-motivated and desire to learn and apply new skills and techniques to solve technical challenges.
  • Thrive in technically exciting environment and quickly adapt to changes with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary global team.
  • Strong communicator and enjoys collaborating with colleagues.
  • High level of safety awareness.
  • Candidates must have work authorization in the United States.
