Job description

Industrial Technology Services (ITS) of Chesterfield currently has entry level openings for our Mechanical team. We are a Process Piping/Mechanical contractor specializing in the design and installation of manufacturing systems. We are looking for individuals or those individuals who are seeking to gain more knowledge in the trade to install various systems such as tower water, chiller water, pumping stations, compressed air and more. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a team environment looking for longevity and opportunity within a great company! Must be able to travel to work-site locations including out of state. Must be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the install of mechanical pipe installations, working with PVC pipe and tubing
  • Assist in preparing job sites and cleaning job sites
  • Unloading building materials and tools
  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes ensuring a zero-accident philosophy is incorporated into all aspects of construction operations

Qualifications:

  • At least 1+ year of general labor in a skilled trade setting
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Familiar with basic construction
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skill
  • Must be conscientious about safety at all times
  • Must provide your own hand tools
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to read measurements and use basic math skills

Physical Requirements of Position:

  • This position is required to do extensive walking through factory environment production areas.
  • Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 lbs. routinely, 50 lbs. frequently, and 80 lbs. occasionally
  • Possess the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
  • Ability to work from extreme heights
  • Must be able to travel to the job sites as assigned in state and out of state
