General Description/Purpose

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting day-to-day hands-on activities to ensure that all requirements established for produced elements are fully met.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct the activities as defined in the Factory Quality manual.
  • Follow all Quality Management System requirements defined in the applicable documents and Standards.
  • To conduct the Quality control pre- and post-pour inspections on precast elements.
  • Monitor pouring operations to ensure that they are performed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Preparation and maintenance of quality control reports and records.
  • Motivate and train all personnel involved in the Production process.
  • Perform all required in-house concrete testing, prepare the reports, and maintain the records.
  • To monitor and control in house QC laboratory and batching plant.
  • To raise NCR (Nonconformance report) to relevant department if any violation to the established requirement is found.
  • Participate in the corrective and preventive actions investigations.
  • Implement new system recommended by management if required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Minimum of 1 year of relative experience in precast / ready mix industry.
  • ACI Certification is preferred
  • Any PCI certifications or equivalent are a plus
  • Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Office applications
  • Good communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift heavy loads, work in awkward spaces safely and stand for long hours. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
