Job description

 Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer (480V Industrial Power)Position Summary

This role supports installation, troubleshooting coordination, and ongoing maintenance of industrial electrical systems up to 480V in a manufacturing plant. The position focuses on understanding electrical drawings and overseeing contractor work, with occasional on-site verification and minor maintenance support after equipment handover.

Core Responsibilities (Must Do)
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams (up to 480V)

  • Act as technical contact for electrical contractors and vendors

  • Support equipment installation, startup, and acceptance

  • Identify electrical issues and coordinate corrective actions

  • Maintain documentation and update redlines

  • Ensure work follows electrical safety standards and NEC basics

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintenance planning after project handover

  • Perform basic inspection, testing, or minor adjustments when needed

  • Support reliability improvements and root cause discussions

  • Coordinate work with production and EHS teams

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience with industrial electrical systems in a plant or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to understand electrical schematics and power distribution diagrams

  • Basic troubleshooting logic and communication skills

  • Comfortable working on-site around equipment

Nice to Have
  • Electrician or electrical technician background

  • Experience with MCCs, motors, or VFDs

  • Equipment installation or commissioning exposure

  • Electrical license

  • 24/7 manufacturing environment experience

Working Conditions

On-site role in a manufacturing environment with occasional off-shift support during equipment startup or issues.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 -$120,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
