Job Description

JMT Technology Group, a leading geospatial and information technology solutions provider, is looking for a BI Developer to join our team. The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions of medium to high complexity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on transforming raw data into meaningful insights and enjoys building scalable, user-friendly dashboards and reports that drive business decisions.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Compensation for this position is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Perform business analysis to gather BI report requirements of medium to high complexity across multiple projects
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into business intelligence solutions
  • Perform SQL development tasks of medium to high complexity across multiple projects
  • Design and develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery for analysis
  • Utilize Git-based version control, pull requests, and CI/CD processes to ensure quality, consistency, and maintainability of analytics code and data models
  • Design and maintain data marts using dbt to support enterprise reporting and analytics
  • Integrate data and reports with dynamic reporting engines such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Ensure data design is compliance with internal and external regulations and standards
  • Develop mock-ups and wireframes to outline the look and feel of reports prior to development
  • Create attractive, data rich, and intuitive static reports, dynamic reports, and dashboards
  • Provide ongoing support and training to users on BI tools and data analytics
  • Collaborate with project managers, business systems analysts, UX designers, and application developers to deliver high-quality deliverables
  • Leverage mentorship and peer relationships to increase proficiency in development
  • Mentor and support junior BI developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical problem-solving
  • Provide estimates for development tasks
  • Innovate and contribute to improving standards, techniques, tools, and processes
  • Attend conferences, seminars, webinars, and/or on-line training on a regular basis to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
