Pool cleaners may also inspect pool equipment like pumps and filters to ensure everything is functioning properly. They often work under the supervision of more experienced technicians and may travel to multiple locations each day. The job requires attention to detail and a basic understanding of pool care and safety procedures.

To thrive as an Entry Level Pool Cleaner, you need basic knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and equipment handling, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with pool cleaning tools, testing kits, and occasionally mobile scheduling apps is typically required. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and good customer service skills help you stand out in this role. These abilities ensure pools are maintained safely and efficiently, leading to satisfied clients and reduced risk of equipment or water quality issues.
