Job Description

Interested in politics and government? Matt McLaughlin, a longtime Somerville City Councilor, is running for Massachusetts State Senate in the Second Middlesex District, focused on keeping communities affordable for all residents. This fellowship provides practical hands-on experience in voter outreach and campaign operations in a highly competitive race. This is an entry level unpaid opportunity.

In this position you may:

  • Conduct door-to-door canvasses and speak with voters to get out the vote
  • Make phone calls and send texts in our outreach program to persuade voters to support Matt
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers
  • Organize and staff campaign events
  • Work with staffers to hit campaign-wide goals
