Job Description

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions - this is the position for you!


Position Purpose: 

Nurse Practitioner will responsible for managing patient care and treatment in collaboration with the physician. The nature of the position allows the Nurse Practitioner the opportunity to apply his/her medical training across a broad spectrum of clinical areas thus avoiding the narrow focus of many other medical environments. 


Daily Responsibilities: 

Nurse Practitioner performs health assessments and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and physician instructions. 

Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. 

Nurse Practitioner will discusses case with physician. 

Formulates and documents care plan. 

Prescribes medication or other forms of treatment. 

Participates in On-Call program which may include after-hours, weekend and holiday calls and visitations


Qualifications

Requirements: 

Master's degree in Nursing with emphasis in Family, Adult, or Gerontological practice.

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in State of Iowa

2-5 years of experience working in acute care settings such as ICU, CCU, Telemetry, or med-surgical unit

National Board Certification and DEA license. 


Additional Information

Hours for this Position: 

Clinical setting:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5 pm or 10 am - 7 pm.
