Kansas City, Kansas Nurse Practitioner Occupational Medicine Locum Tenens Opportunity

Inpatient Medicine Coverage • Defined Shift Structure • Occupational Focus

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Kansas licensed Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens opportunity in Kansas City, Kansas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy occupational medicine setting providing work-related injury assessments, physical examinations, and urgent care services for various private companies and government agencies.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Occupational medicine locum tenens opportunity
  • Coverage: Ongoing
  • Setting: Private and governmental occupational health clinics
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
  • Must be DOT certified prior to start date
  • Must cover facilities in both Kansas and Missouri

Schedule Details

  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Coverage: Five days per week, ongoing

Clinical Scope

  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries
  • Perform pre-placement DOT physical examinations and surveillance physicals
  • Manage urgent care walk-in patients
  • Perform in-office procedures
  • Communicate with employers regarding patient progress and treatment plans
  • Document all clinical encounters thoroughly and promptly

Requirements

  • Active Kansas state license
  • NP degree from an accredited program
  • DOT certification prior to start date (must be obtained if not current)
  • Ability to cover facilities in both Kansas and Missouri
  • Experience in occupational medicine or urgent care preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior DOT certification experience or willingness to obtain certification prior to start
