MANTECH seeks a career and customer-oriented Junior Test Engineer to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite and 4 days remote per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide entry-level technical support for Test and Evaluation of advanced and innovative technologies for science and technology, developmental and acquisition programs delivering operational capabilities in support of the border security mission
  • Assist in the design and execution of repeatable test processes and automated regression testing as outlined in the Unified Agile Framework
  • Support the collection of testing metrics from laboratory, simulated, and operational environments, assisting with the setup of hardware-in-the-loop interfaces and helping document results
  • Participate in routine software testing within Development, Security, and Operations pipelines, ensuring that containerized Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning agents meet baseline performance thresholds
  • Apply established practices to help identify software bugs or data anomalies during iterative sprints for prototype or developmental software and hardware products
  • Develop detailed test plans, cases, and automated scripts based on system-level, functional and operational requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing
  • Architect the testing frameworks used to validate physics-based fidelity in Modeling and Simulation catalogs and ensure compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework controls
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet DHS S&T quality standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related field

  • 1+ years of experience in test and evaluation

  • Experience in developing complex technical reports

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations

The projected compensation range for this position is $65,000.00-$107,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
