Job description

Quanex is looking for a Product Design Specialist to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota or Wahpeton, North Dakota.

Responsible for providing technical support for the development of new products and product enhancements. You will manage assigned projects from inception to implementation in production. Will create CAD drawings and details processes, layouts, and new product designs while providing ongoing customer support with sample requests and follow-up on new products.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per week (work schedule will be discussed during interview)

What Success Looks Like:

  • Utilizes CAD software to develop conceptual drawings of new or modified products.
  • Manages assigned product projects from concept to implementation, keeping meeting notes, and other related documentation of the development process.
  • Coordinates with internal and external customers in the development of products.
  • Provides support for Product Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sourcing.

What You Bring:

  • Associate’s degree in drafting, similar degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience, required.
  • AutoCAD or similar software experience
  • Project Management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple jobs simultaneously and to organize and review large volumes of data.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality.

The salary range for this position is $72K - $76K w/ bonus potential.
