The Pharmacy Technician I works collaboratively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other staff to support quality patient care and efficient pharmacy operations. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining competency in hospital pharmacy practice, medication distribution systems, and pharmacy technology applications.
Pharmacy Tech 2: The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs advanced technical, operational, and patient-care support functions for inpatient and infusion pharmacy services. In addition to medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and pharmacy systems support, this position is responsible for obtaining and documenting medication histories, supporting medication reconciliation activities, and serving as a resource for pharmacy technology and workflow processes. The Pharmacy Technician 2 exercises a higher degree of independent judgment, assists with quality improvement and compliance initiatives, and serves as a knowledgeable resource to pharmacy staff while supporting the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care.
