Job description

Entry-Level Plant Laborer (Forklift Experience Required)

Starting at $18.00+/hr + Overtime Opportunities

Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Safely and efficiently operate a forklift within designated guidelines

  • Load and unload materials from trucks

  • Transport materials across the facility in a safe, organized manner

  • Inspect equipment to ensure safe operation

  • Assist with general plant operations and maintenance tasks

  • Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding any issues

  • Maintain awareness and take action to prevent hazards

  • Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment

 Qualifications:
  • MUST HAVE previous forklift experience
  • Strong desire to learn new responsibilities and grow with the company

  • Ability to work independently with a positive, safety-focused attitude

  • Reliable performance, punctuality, and attendance

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check

Work Environment:
  • Exposure to machinery, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration

  • Frequent wet or humid conditions; loud work environment

  • Typical schedule: 8–12 hour shifts, 5–7 days/week during peak season; occasional night work

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting, and reaching (waist to shoulder height)

  • Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling 50–75 lbs

  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing

  • Ability to maintain required vision (close, distance, depth perception)
