About Panavision:
The Panavision group supports filmmakers working on movies, television series, commercials, and beyond. Our family of brands provide filmmaking equipment rentals for lenses, cinema cameras, grip, and lighting, stage facilities for filming, and much more.
Job Scope:
Operate standard tooling machinery and assemble precision optical lenses.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine lens components according to engineering blueprints.
  • Assemble lenses in compliance with Panavision specifications and quality standards.
  • Design and fabricate tooling fixtures required for lens manufacturing.
  • Modify existing components using conventional machining methods.
  • Collaborate with the Optical department to troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform daily machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Complete additional tasks and assignments as needed.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Solid understanding of optical manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of optical testing and measurement equipment.
  • Extensive experience operating manufacturing machinery and related tools.
  • Familiarity with materials used in lens production.
  • Understanding of safety protocols related to machinery operation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex mechanical and optical drawings.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing daily work requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
