Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Technician to provide exceptional customer and technical support to our employees. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, a passion for delivering excellent service, and the technical expertise to support a range of systems and software. As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operation of various IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deskside Support: Provide in-person technical support to employees for issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring swift resolution of hardware and software problems.
  • Zoom Phone Support: Configure, provision, troubleshoot, and support Zoom Phone services, including user onboarding, call routing, auto attendants, call queues, number assignments, desk phones, soft phones, and related hardware/software issues.
  • Windows Operating Systems: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • AV Systems: Support and troubleshoot Zoom video conferencing systems, including AV equipment, ensuring smooth meetings and video calls.
  • Printers and Peripherals: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networked printers, scanners, and other office peripherals.
  • Legal Applications: Provide support for legal-specific applications such as NetDocuments, addressing user questions, configurations, and software-related issues.
  • Software Updates: Install and manage software updates for operating systems, legal applications, and other software.
  • User Training: Provide training and guidance to employees on the effective use of technology, tools, and software.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of technical issues and resolutions, ensuring all support actions are properly documented in the help desk system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to address escalated issues and ensure overall system performance is optimized.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to firm offices and remote locations as needed to provide on-site technical support, equipment deployments, office openings/relocations, and project assistance.
  • After Hours Support: Emergency support on call (24x7) on a rotational basis.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of four years in a computer end-user support role, preferably in a professional services office environment such as a legal, accounting, or medical services organization.
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar support role.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expert knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing and AV systems.
  • Experience managing and supporting Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, application management, compliance monitoring, endpoint administration, and Windows device lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 support, including user account management, licensing, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and basic Entra ID support.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Zoom Phone, including user provisioning, call queues, auto attendants, desk phones, soft phones, and number management.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Copilot and other AI-powered tools to improve productivity, automate routine tasks, enhance end-user support, and streamline operational workflows.
  • Experience with legal software applications such as NetDocuments preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Various physical activity may be required.
