Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Intern - Grifols Therapeutics, Clayton, NC
Position Summary
The OHS Intern will support safety programs and compliance efforts at the Grifols Clayton biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role provides hands-on experience in occupational health, safety systems, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Support OHS team with site safety improvement projects
โ€ข Update and post machine-specific Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
โ€ข Assist in identifying and documenting confined spaces across the facility
โ€ข Help transition the Contractor Safety Training Program into the ISN system
โ€ข Conduct research on OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and internal safety standards
โ€ข Promote safety culture through communication and engagement activities
โ€ข Assist with near-miss reporting, data tracking, and corrective action follow-up
Qualifications
โ€ข Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
โ€ข Minimum 3.0 GPA
โ€ข Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general EHS regulations
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Ability to work independently and in team environments
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
