  • Fact check all information against source material to ensure accuracy
  • Checking changes to ensure changes were made correctly and consistently
  • Validate reference list against references provided
  • Proofread word-for-word against approved copy, and evaluating layouts for problems with spacing, leading, kerning, type size, font, justification, and white space
  • Update style guides for specific brands, managing updates after brand and med/legal review

You:

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum), preferably in communications or health sciences
  • 1-2 years of editorial experience is preferred
  • Experience in healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical advertising, or medical communications is a plus
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict deadlines, as well as the flexibility to handle changing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a challenging, dynamic environment
  • Ability to learn and apply style guides
  • Proficient with American Medical Association style is a plus
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Willing to work extra hours to meet impending deadlines
