Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Neurology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive Neurology care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities

Provide neurology consults for residents with neurological conditions

Evaluate and manage conditions including stroke, Parkinson's disease, seizures, neuropathy, dementia, and movement disorders

Perform neurological examinations and cognitive assessments

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging and lab studies

Manage neurologic medications and treatment plans

Collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary teams

Educate patients and caregivers about neurological conditions and treatment adherence

Maintain EMR documentation and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)

Active and unrestricted NP license

DEA license required

CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)

Master's degree in Nursing (NP applicants)

Graduation from an accredited NP program Preferred: Experience in Neurology (training available if not)

Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC - training provided)

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
