Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Scope of Position
We are seeking a creative and motivated Multimedia Intern to join our team. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in multimedia production, including video editing, photography, 3D design, and digital content creation. The intern will work closely with our multimedia team to support various projects and marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and editing imagery using software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Support video production, including lighting, shooting, and post-production editing
  • Help with product and event photography in studio and field environments
  • Assist with KeyShot rendering projects and participate in KeyShot VR testing and evaluation to support interactive product visualization initiatives
  • Contribute to the creation and animation of 2D and 3D elements
  • Collaborate with team members on multimedia projects to meet organizational objectives

Requirements
  • Enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor's degree program in Multimedia, Video Production, Animation, or a related field
  • Experience or coursework in multimedia production, video editing, or animation is a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization and rendering software such as KeyShot, including an interest in VR and interactive product experiences
  • Basic understanding of video production and photography techniques
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
