Job Title: Motor Grader Operator (MSHA Site – Limestone Quarry)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Motor Grader Operator to join our team at an active limestone quarry. This position plays a key role in maintaining haul roads, drainage, and overall site conditions to support efficient and safe production. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an MSHA-regulated environment and be willing to operate additional support equipment, such as water trucks, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a motor grader to maintain and shape haul roads, ramps, and work areas
  • Ensure proper drainage and road conditions to support safe equipment operation
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Operate other support equipment (e.g., water truck) as needed to control dust and maintain site conditions
  • Follow all MSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other equipment operators
  • Assist with general site duties when required

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a motor grader in a quarry, mining, or heavy construction environment
  • Familiarity with MSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Ability to operate additional equipment such as water trucks (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of grading techniques and road maintenance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Certifications:

  • MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 training (preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred for water truck operation, if applicable)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and operate heavy equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to perform inspections, climb on/off equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
