Asa SimulationOperations Specialist, you will supportthe use of simulation in multidisciplinary healthcare settings. In this role, you will prepare andmaintainlab equipment and materials(i.e., patient simulators,computersand audiovisual systems), ensuring proper working order and efficiency.You will alsocollaborate with educators and other caregivers to design,implementand improvetrainingmodalities.This role is highly technical, requiring an individual with a mastery for electronics and skilled techniques.Ultimately, yourefforts help prepare caregivers for real-life events, thus enhancing patient care and the delivery of safe, effective treatment.

A caregiver in this position works7:00am to 4:30pm and could vary as needed. Saturday shifts may occur rarely, but no Sundays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Program software to model simulator's physiological response to instructor specifications.
  • Operate patient simulators for the duration of simulations.
  • Assistin training faculty in the use of simulation equipment.
  • Collaborate in maintenance and repair by troubleshooting immediate issues with simulation equipment and all other equipment used in relation to the simulations.
  • Set up andteardown rooms in preparation for various simulations.
  • Work closely with department manager and education specialist in coordinating simulations.
  • Work closely with department manager inmaintaininginventory of all equipment and supplies related to simulation.
  • Provide recommendations on equipment,suppliesand materials.
  • Operateandmaintainaudio/visual equipment as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Associate's Degreeand one year of experience in a healthcare setting OR two years of healthcare simulation experience ORBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science,Nursingor a related field

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Simulation experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to move up to 85 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work on overhead equipment
  • Ability to work in confined, darkened areas.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $22.85

Maximum hourly: $34.85
