Location: Ashburn, VA
Start Date: Sept 10th training
Duration: 5-6 week project-based
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00–$21.00 per hour


About the Role

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Level 1 Data Center Technicians to support a high-volume hardware deployment project in Ashburn, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level technicians, recent graduates, or interns looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced data center environment.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow standardized processes with consistency and accuracy.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and inventory large volumes of hardware components.
  • Verify shipments against documentation and report discrepancies.
  • Handle equipment carefully while following proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
  • Perform ECU flashing by following established procedures and monitor pass/fail results.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and documentation throughout the flashing process.
  • Rack and install servers, chassis, and head units in data center racks.
  • Install cage nuts, rails, and cable management arms.
  • Connect RJ45 network and power cables while maintaining clean cable routing and organization.
  • Follow color-coding standards and installation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with team leads and follow instructions to meet project goals.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry-level candidates, interns, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to work with hand tools and hardware.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to follow checklists and documented procedures.
  • Basic understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling practices is a plus.
  • Previous rack-and-stack experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and install IT equipment safely.
  • Ability to work independently while taking direction from supervisors.
