Job Requirements

  • The mechanic position is considered a non-entry level position. Mechanics are required to have, prior to employment, previous verifiable experience for consideration of this position. On the job training will be provided specific to company policies and procedures. Mechanics are requiring to have knowledge of all or any of the following, diesel engines, gasoline engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, air systems, & pump systems. Heavy work classification. Exerting 50 lbs frequently and/or occasionally. Long periods of sitting, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. Push / Pull while exerting manual force. Works outdoors. Works with moving equipment. Repetitive motions and manual handling of material. Works at a rapid pace.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives and follows oral or written instructions to output completed projects.
Trouble shoot problems with mechanical equipment and repair as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure product quality.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed, to perform general preventative maintenance
in hard to get areas.
Test all repairs, once completed, to ensure product quality.
Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets by hand, or using alternative lifting equipment.
Operates powered industrial truck (Forklift) to stage and/or move material and miscellaneous
equipment throughout the facility.
Applies knowledge of understanding and training to inspect material at this phase for
completeness and conformity to company requirements.
Maintains housekeeping of general work area and as directed.
May be assigned to assist in other work areas as job demands dictate.
May perform simple adjustments and/or repairs to equipment within work area.
