Job description

We are seeking a Mechanic-in-Training for assignment in Bixby, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
This position has a pay rate of $20 - $21/hr
Responsibilities

- Read and record information in Maintenance Connection (i.e. work orders, mechanical information sheets)
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles (i.e. fluid levels, belts, tires)
- Perform routine onsite pump station inspections
- Test auxiliary equipment (i.e. alarms, HVAC, pumps, engines, generators)
- Lubricate equipment and replace filters
- Assists in keeping maintenance records
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Some applied experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
