Job description

Overview

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah in the Department of Internal Medicine invites applications for a full‑time board‑certified, or board‑eligible, non‑invasive cardio‑oncologist with an interest in academic practice.

Position Profiles
  • Position/Rank: Cardio‑Oncologist
  • Department: Internal Medicine – Cardiovascular Medicine (Cardiology 00226)
  • Location: Salt Lake City, UT
  • Track: Track Dependent on Qualifications
  • Start Date: Upon Hire
Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient cardio‑oncology services, including assessment, monitoring, and management of patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient cardiology/HF services.
  • Engage in clinical rotations in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
  • Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contribute to clinical research and pursue scholarly activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah.
  • Prior clinical exposure to cardio‑oncology and/or completion of a cardio‑oncology fellowship.
  • Strong commitment to teaching, research, and clinical service.
