We are currently seeking Automation Engineer, with the below qualifications:
SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Automation Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and overhaul work on electronic/electromechanical equipment. Position will read and interpret electronic schematics and identify components to manage and assemble projects.
Professional Attributes
  • Must be highly mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to use basic hand tools
  • Must understand low and high voltage wiring
  • Must be capable of reading electrical prints
  • Must have knowledge of vision systems. Cognex and Keyence a plus
  • Mill and lathe experience a plus
  • Perform EOAT changeovers for production when directed
  • Perform preventive automation maintenance as per instruction and assigned intervals
  • Inspect equipment for defects and plan for solutions to prevent downtime
  • General housekeeping around the shop and maintain safe work environment
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of components, tools and equipment
  • Maintain electronic/electromechanical equipment to ensure it is in optimal running condition
  • Work independent with strong technical knowledge leading team for proactive planning and maintenance
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required
  • Technical degree or certificate a plus
  • Strong knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshooting
  • Basic math skills. Basic electrical skills Basic computer skills
  • Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools
  • Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity
  • Forklift training (can be completed on the job)
