Job description

We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate and efficient inventory systems within a dynamic warehouse environment. This person will focus on monitoring stock levels, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring inventory data integrity to support seamless operations and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-driven, and highly organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while optimizing inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.


  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records and conduct periodic audits
  • Enter data into the business system daily, support and maintain any documentation systems
  • Transact materials to update the business system
  • Enforce all processes so that only authorized personnel can receive or distribute materials to or from stock
  • Support daily dispatch lists “Scheduling”
  • Handle, store, pack, label, and distribute material using proper techniques to ensure no damage to the material as well as to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Support the first in first out practices while storing all inventory items
  • Support Point of Use at workstations.
  • Review the records of quantity counted and count date on cycle count sheets and compare quantity counted to quantity on hand in the business system
  • Reconcile differences between counted quantities and expected on-hand quantities
  • Support and maintain the Kan Ban system, ensuring that all involved parties participate regularly to keep the system running properly
  • Prepare quarterly review of cycle count accuracy and present to management team, along with recommendations for improvement
  • Create serialization labels as required
  • Perform all activities related to customer consigned inventories ensuring accuracy
  • Maintain records on shortages and back orders and properly coordinate details by working with other departments
  • Support the activities related to programming components via proper processes ensuring a quality product
  • Create locations for new inventory
  • Fulfill part requests for production
  • Transact and finalize part requests
  • Collaborate with production team, supervisor and logistics to maintain smooth operations
  • Support Vendor managed inventory
  • Support all other material handling tasks when needed
  • Assist in training new hires and entry level Material Handlers to ensure consistent quality and training methods

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Understanding of protocols for incoming and outgoing goods, including documentation and inspection
  • Awareness of proper handling techniques for raw materials and finished goods
  • Understanding how to identify defects of inconsistencies in products (quality control)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to be forward thinking and adhere to deadlines and production schedules while collaborating with other departments
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory counts, shipment labeling and documentation
  • Adaptability to changing priorities, new procedures, or unexpected challenges in dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to multitask and respond to changing priorities
  • Must be a team player


Required Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience in materials, warehouse, or logistics (or proven ability for internal candidates)
