Work Schedule:

Based at our Waukesha, WI facility in a 1st shift capacity, with the schedule options being 6:00am - 2:00pm or 7:00am - 3:00pm.

Position Overview:

The Material Handler / Inspector - Shipping & Receiving is responsible for the material movement and inspection of components for large compression and power generation industrial engines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Complete all annual EHS training.
  • Operate fork-lifts, pallet movers, turret-trucks, overhead cranes, jib cranes.
  • Perform daily powered industrial truck inspections.
  • Load/unload trucks.
  • Enter receipts.
  • Performmultiple types of inventory transactions/transfers.
  • Maintainhigh parts picking & counting accuracy.
  • Consolidate picks for assembly/machine shop/outside shipment.
  • Pull parts/kit orders from AS/RS (High Rise), etc. to prepare for service, subassembly, or engine assembly varying operations.
  • Prepare parts for shipment - packaging, banding, weighing etc.
  • Ship parts via UPS/FedEx, LTL Trucking - make pickup requests via on-line requests/phone.
  • Understanding of vendor return policies, return goods, (RMA's).
  • Utilize computer to access assembly blueprints, 3-D assembly instructions, manuals, engineering memos (ECO's), and sketches.
  • Demonstrate ability to read/print and interpret dimensions and convert metric to inches.
  • Verify and inspect part conformance to print as needed using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Document any defects.
  • Cycle count.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School or GED.
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of handling large industrial engine components.
  • Ability to lift a maximum weight of 40 lbs.
  • Industrial fork truck operating experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong collaborator who is a positive team player.
  • Autonomous, results driven and accountable for own actions and takes ownership of decisions.
