Job Description
The Systems Programmer ensures the availability and efficient operation of the mainframe z/OS operating system, related hardware and software.  Secondary responsibilities include storage administration and disaster recovery team member.  Background in Linux systems and networking a plus.  High personal standards required for consistent and reliable system software installations and maintenance.  Attention to detail is necessary in order to provide quality business systems on select enterprise platforms.  Accuracy is a requirement.
Responsibilities:
    Ensure consistent availability and operation of client's business computer systems.
    Specialization in TCPIP, VTAM, and HCD, as well as z/OS upgrades.
    Install, upgrade, maintain, and customize all z/OS system software.
    Develop, test and maintain the business interruption and resumption procedures necessary for Disaster Recovery.
    Manage dfSMS, dfHSM, and FDR/ABR in support of the Storage Administrator.
    Manage mainframe software in SMP/E.
    Coordinate hardware configuration changes


Qualifications
    IBM program products;  JES2, ICF, SMP/E, IPCS, TSO/E, ISPF, SDSF, JCL, HCD, VTAM, TCP/IP,  EREP, RACF, DFSORT, CICS, DB2, IMS, and  IRLM.
    OEM program products; Dumpmaster, Insync, GRS, PDSMAN, PRO/SMS, DSSI, TMON, CA-1, MVS/Quick-Ref, SMFUTIL, JMR, JQP, VVP
    Redhat or Suse Linux, VI editor, Bash shell scripting
    XEROX Mainframe-attached Laser Printers; Forms design and maintenance of descriptor language.
    Codes: Assembler, CLIST/REXX Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Background includes Computer Operations support, standards and procedures design/implementation.
