Summary:
Under close direction of experienced operators or a Production Team Leader, operates the SMT placement equipment and/or other equipment in order to perform the tasks necessary to manufacture PCBs and/or systems.
Responsibilities:
• Reads and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems
• May be certified to operate a limited number and variety of basic machines in production
• Responds to written and verbal instructions
• Obtains certifications on assigned equipment
• Maintains a clean work environment and follow all company policies and practices regarding safety and material handling
• Use cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendor; Recognize all part markings including speed and values (ohms)
• Assists with line changeover
• Identifies feeder by size and type in SMT equipment
• Demonstrates the use of cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions and vendor
• Removes hazardous waste at the end of each shift and put in waste storage area, check to see that labels are present and closes containers when not in use
• Continuously maintains a clean machine
• May be involved with hazardous waste handling duties
Other information:
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math
• Ability to operate basic entry level machines, such as Selective Solder, Wave, Feeder load, Axial/Radial
This position is classified as safety-sensitive because impairment while performing job duties could pose a significant risk of harm.
