Entry Level Machine Operator Jobs in Norwich, CT

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable CNC Operator to join our fast-paced Manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, run, and adjust CNC Milling equipment and Lathe machinery to fabricate precision components. As an entry-level or experienced Machinist, you will perform regular quality inspection routines to ensure all parts meet specifications while contributing to a clean and efficient shop environment.

• Equipment Setup & Operation: Prepare and run CNC Milling setups along with supporting equipment like a secondary Lathe using established programs and methods.
• Cellular Machining: Function effectively as a flexible CNC Operator managing multiple work centers in a cellular environment to maintain output.
• Process Fine-Tuning: Execute accurate edits and adjustments to meet work orders, blueprints, and technical sketches.
• Tooling & Feeds: Apply practical knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds to maximize efficiency and tool longevity.
• Quality Assurance: Perform thorough dimensional inspection tasks using precision measuring tools to guarantee accurate features.
• Production Standards: Deliver high-quality output on schedule in alignment with company goals.
• Documentation: Record operational metrics accurately, including component counts, time logs, and scrap reports.
• Equipment Care & Safety: Maintain clean workstations, track coolant levels, strictly follow company safety policies, and mentor team members as requested.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience as a Machinist or hands-on team member in a Manufacturing facility.
• Basic familiarity with running a Lathe or working as a CNC Operator is a plus, though training is provided.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.

• Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches.
• Experience conducting standard part inspection during live production runs.
