Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift

OTTO's opportunity:

OurMolding Machine Operator 2nd shift is an entry level Molding Department position where the candidate learns about all aspects of the injection molding process.

Hours - 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday)

Specifically, the Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift will:

  • Basic molding machine setup
  • Confirm proper material use, per BOM's
  • Material drying and loading
  • Perform inspection of work produced to ensure quality
  • Machine maintenance as required
  • Keep equipment and work area clean
  • Count and progress work into stock
  • Regrind material as required
  • Perform SPC data collection
  • Observe department procedures
  • Run insert molded jobs as needed
  • Manage raw material in a manner that prevents contamination
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of raw material storage
  • Assist with other related duties as required or assigned

What you'll need to bring to the table:

  • Minimum 2 years in this position before being considered for Molding Technician Trainee
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Shoulder height with assistance as necessary
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to differentiate between colors
  • Available for nonstandard or extended work schedules
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Knowledge of inspection tools and their use

The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.

  • Target hourly hiring range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (plus 10% shift premium), based on qualifications and experience.
  • Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO's profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
  • Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
