Job description

The Production Operator is responsible for monitoring production runs and orders through molding machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment across Main Molding and Polycams operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate up to five molding presses based on production schedules and manufacturing requirements
  • Conduct hourly inspections of molded products to identify defects
  • Report defects promptly to the Team Leader or Processor; escalate to Quality or Shift Supervisor if unavailable
  • Perform grinding of runners and inspect cappers for proper function
  • Conduct quality checks and segregate acceptable and rejected products accordingly
  • Apply labels to completed boxes and ensure accurate product identification
  • Clean and maintain equipment including tracks, bowls, conveyors, and upright conveyors
  • Perform hygrade inspections and maintain adherence to quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
  • Operate and monitor grinders and presses to ensure products meet specifications, schedules, and deadlines
  • Keep walkways and aisles clear; perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and waste removal
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, squat, and reach throughout the shift
