Job description

On behalf of a leading regional manufacturer, we are seeking an attentive and reliable Press Operator to support high-precision production of flexible materials, including tapes, labels, gaskets, and laminates.

This is a great opportunity for either an entry-level candidate looking for structured, hands-on mechanical training or an experienced operator seeking a stable team environment. You will set up, run, and maintain converted material machinery while ensuring strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation: Read job orders, load raw materials, set up presses, and run machinery (slitting, laminating, die-cutting, or sheeting) to production standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct initial and routine in-process inspections using fixtures, jigs, and measuring tools to ensure parts meet client specs.
  • Documentation: Log material usage, production run data, scrap counts, and efficiency metrics accurately in daily logs.
  • Equipment Care: Perform routine daily cleaning, basic maintenance, and proper handling/storage of precision dies, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Inventory & Support: Manage raw inventory, return unused materials to stock, package finished goods, and support general shop upkeep (5S standards).

Qualifications:

  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and job sheets.
