Job Title: Wide Format Digital Press Trainee

Position Summary
The Wide Format Digital Press Trainee is an entry-level position responsible for learning and assisting in the operation of wide format digital printing equipment. This role supports the production team in producing high-quality printed graphics, signage, and related products while developing the skills needed to become a fully independent operator. This position pays $15 to $18 an hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of wide format digital printers (roll-to-roll, flatbed, etc.)
  • Learn proper material handling including vinyl, banner, rigid substrates, and specialty media
  • Load and unload materials and printed products safely and efficiently
  • Support print production by preparing files, checking layouts, and staging jobs
  • Monitor print quality and report any defects or inconsistencies
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning under supervision
  • Assist with finishing tasks such as trimming, laminating, and mounting
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with production, design, and installation teams

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, or production is required
  • Advanced computer skills and willingness to learn print software and equipment
