Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • The Manufacturing Technician 1 is expected to work independently, perform laboratory functions involved in production processes of buffer preparation, lyophilization, ELISA plates and some other related job responsibilities.
  • The person must have a demonstrated ability following standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • The person directly reports to the immediate supervisor, assists him/her with the day to day laboratory operations.
  • The Technician is expected to be capable to perform goods movement through required databases, and archive quality documents.
  • The person is responsible for making and testing ELISA plates and formulating recombinant protein to be lyophilized.
  • This includes following batch records, SOP, or working instructions to make ELISA plates, Lyoplates, lyophilized recombinant standards and perform data entries in Filemaker and SAP system.
  • Additional duties include maintaining lab inventory, accurate data entry, and reviewing / scanning of batch records.
  • The position is expected to be familiar with quality system & safety procedures and have basic knowledge of computer software.
  • The position is expected to finish assignments on time to help keep up the team productivity.

Experience Required

Work Experience:

  • Typically requires 0-2 years' experience in a Biotech/Science manufacturing lab environment.
  • Have some working knowledge in the science disciplines and operation of lab equipment.

Skills & Certifications

Required Licenses: None

Techniques Required: Pipetting, Dilution and good documentation skill

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare buffers for internal or production orders
  • Make ELISA plates or recombinant proteins by following SOPs/Working instructions and batch records thoroughly.
  • Scan all batch records independently.
  • Operate lyophilizer for all lyophilization processes.
  • Promote a safe working environment. Follow BD environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Take responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participate in EH&S programs. Notify supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
  • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor and trainer, following their instructions.
