Position Summary:

The Day Lift Operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by safely and efficiently handling incoming and outgoing products. This role involves receiving purchase orders, loading and unloading trucks, checking in food products, labeling items, and moving products into appropriate storage zones, including dry, refrigerated, and freezer areas.

The operator organizes inventory by accurately identifying, sorting, and placing items in designated locations, as well as completing letdowns and put-aways to maintain workflow efficiency. Maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment is essential, along with adhering to safety and quality standards.

The position requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and, preferably, reach trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing required warehouse functions including the receipt of purchase orders, loading & unloading of trucks, checking in food products, and product handling for purchased items.
  • Identifying, sorting, and placing products or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, expiration date, or product code.
  • Label the product with identifying information using the appropriate method.
  • Moving products and items from receiving to temperature-controlled storage areas or to other designated areas.
  • Work on Letdowns and put them away.
  • Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Able to work in 3 different temperature zones (Dry, Cold, and freezer)
