Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot & DevOps)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, and ongoing operations of enterprise applications. This role is a blend of application development and operational engineering, requiring backend development experience alongside hands-on DevOps and infrastructure support. This is a hands-on individual contributor role working with moderate direction, with the ability to independently identify issues and contribute to building reliable, scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and support microservices-based architectures.
  • Apply concurrency programming concepts and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Participate in system design, implementation planning, and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to application testing, enhancements, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices to deliver robust applications.
  • Support applications in Linux-based environments across development and production.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts to support operational workflows.
  • Work with infrastructure and deployment tools including Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot application and environment issues and support system stability.
  • Maintain system-level and operational documentation.
Required Qualifications
Experience: This is a mid-level engineer role for individuals able to work with moderate direction and identify issues independently.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
