Job description

Job Title: Production Worker - Entry Level

Job Description

The Production Worker will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment to produce pultruded products according to specifications. This includes setting up machines, monitoring the production process, and performing quality checks to ensure products meet standards. The Operator I will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise during production and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and equipment for pultrusion production.
  • Keep glass racks full and perform basic pultrusion machine operations.
  • Inspect finished products and set up saws to cut to desired sizes.

Essential Skills

  • General production experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds multiple times during a shift.
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure down to a 1/16th of an inch.

Work Environment

Work involves constant standing, moderate to heavy lifting (20-50 pounds), and bending. Exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and resin chemicals is common due to the manufacturing process, though handling is not required. The pultrusion area has a distinct smell. Safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection are mandatory, with jeans and long sleeves recommended.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
