Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment to produce high-quality products in accordance with company standards. The operator ensures that production targets are met in a timely manner while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and adherence to all safety protocols.

  • Operate Equipment: Run and monitor manufacturing machinery and equipment according to operational standards and production schedules.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Identify potential hazards and participate in safety audits.
  • Maintenance: Conduct basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments. Notify the maintenance team of any issues requiring repairs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, equipment performance, and material usage. Complete necessary documentation for reporting purposes.
  • Material Handling: Safely load and unload materials, components, and finished products, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and improvement programs to enhance skills, productivity, and workplace safety.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and meet production goals.

  • Acceptance at this level is subject to interviewer discretion based on demonstrated work ethic and potential. This level begins in our introductory program, which includes an assessment period with the potential for increased compensation upon successful completion

    Additional Information

    For Kansas, the expected salary for this position is $16/hr. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule).
