Health system is seeking 1-2 experienced Med Tech-level professional to provide on-site operational support for the Roche Sysmex project. This role is non-technical and focuses on lab operations, not Epic or technical build activities. Candidates must have strong experience with middleware systems, and ideally Roche lab operations and/or Sysmex Caresphere, with familiarity in Navify..

This role involves providing Level 1 and Level 2 support for middleware systems that connect lab instruments to LIS environments across multiple hospital networks. The position is primarily remote with some travel (typically 2–3 days during certain weeks, some weeks with no travel), and mileage is reimbursed. Key responsibilities include supporting go-lives across the state (Roche for Chemistry/Lab Operations and Sysmex for Hematology/CareSphere), training lab staff on workflows and systems such as Sysmex CareSphere, Roche Lab Operations, and Navify, and ensuring proper system usage.

When onsite, duties include working with lab techs to validate the proper workflow of new software via instruments through wet testing, printing labels, running test orders, and confirming that results flow correctly through the software. This involves troubleshooting issues and maintaining documentation to verify that analyzers and middleware systems are functioning accurately and in alignment. The role requires strong organization, an understanding of middleware and LIS systems, and the ability to identify and resolve common issues such as interface failures, mapping errors, and system communication problems.

Typical day:

• Printing labels for testing- validate the new instrument

• A lot of testing involves putting blood on the instruments and having it run

• Work with team that gets all the orders to ensure it runs through the software correctly. Can get hung up in Cerner, Navify, etc.

• Troubleshoot what's going on, keep track of things and document them

• Stack of papers that proves the analyzer and the software are working in accordance with each other

• Documenting, networking internally
