Job description
The role of the Catalyst Technician 3 is to execute tasks under supervision at catalyst projects.
- Entry level CHR field operations, no or little experience
- Ability to learn the key aspects of catalyst change-out processes for fixed bed reactor, tubular reactors or reformers
- Under supervision, assist the catalyst handling project team with manning dump nozzles, screening activities, rolling drums, labelling bags and bins, housekeeping
- Under strict supervision safely and correctly remove catalyst from single bed reactors in normal atmosphere. Can remove catalyst from tubular reactors or reformers in normal atmosphere
- Attend and pass required training and certification programs
Required Qualifications:
- Pass drug testing
- TWIC-card
- Good background score to be able to enter all client facilities
- Confined space entry certification
- Plant required course and certifications
- Respirator fittest
Desired:
- Current valid driver license
- Forklift certificate
- Bolt-up/Torqueing basic (HSCA)
- DOT Physical
- Fit for work / physically able to fit through 20' manways and work inside confined space for sustainable period of time in protective clothing and helmet
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Follow instructions
- Some knowledge of general processes and basic mechanical aptitude
- Communicate clearly
- Work safely and methodically and work in a team
