Job title : Laboratory Technician

Client : Food Manufacturing Company

Duration : 7 Months

Location : Elk River, MN 55330

Shift : 1st shift Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Description:

  • The Laboratory Technician will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support the food safety, quality, and operational teams. This is an entry-level laboratory position responsible for testing food and feed samples, monitoring laboratory equipment, documenting results, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and supporting quality assurance activities under intermediate supervision.
  • This seasonal position supports laboratory operations during the busy season and provides coverage for an employee on leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analytical testing on food and feed products.
  • Conduct laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Monitor laboratory instrumentation and equipment performance.
  • Perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple repairs on laboratory instruments.
  • Prepare samples for testing using laboratory grinding equipment.
  • Interpret laboratory test results and document findings accurately.
  • Enter test results into laboratory databases.
  • Communicate testing results to internal customers.
  • Maintain customer specification books and laboratory documentation.
  • Support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Follow laboratory procedures and food safety regulations.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative laboratory inspections independently.
  • Assist with more complex laboratory trials and experiments under supervision.
  • Handle routine clerical, administrative, and technical laboratory tasks.

Work Environment
