Summary
IDEAL SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTHCARE is currently seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomy Instructor to teach Phlebotomy classes during the Day, and the Weekend.
As an Instructor, you will provide your students with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry-level employment in their field of study. Responsible for preparation and presentation of prescribed curriculum to train students in their chosen field of study. Ensure that the quality and quantity of instruction provided in the classroom and laboratory is consistent with the stated objectives of the school and applicable industry. Ensure that the classroom and school's atmosphere is conducive to maximum learning and retention of students.
Essential Functions
Supervise the performance of all classroom activity (lecture, lab)
Assist students with academic performance issues.
Communicate escalated student challenges to Director for assistance, when necessary
Participate in In-Service Training and Professional Development
Record student attendance and grades daily, in accordance with school policy/syllabus
Administer and grade all course examinations, assignments and lab exercises
Creatively supplement classroom experience with appropriate educational ancillary material while maintaining classroom structure
Submit grades, end of course paperwork and all other documents as required to Director upon course completion
Maintain proper classroom decorum in accordance with school policy
Initiate with Director Field trips, Guest Speakers and Special Events
Maintain facility cleanliness and security in classroom and Laboratory
Maintain current knowledge in the subject area being taught (update certifications and licensing requirements)
Have current Teaching Phlebotomy and/or Medical Assisting - Clinical including Phlebotomy and EKG
license through Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision preferred.
