Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies is seeking a skilled System Administrator, Junior to support Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence Systems in both physical and virtual environments. The candidate will be responsible for administering Windows and Unix-based servers and workstations at the operating system and application level in support of mission-critical operations. This role includes system maintenance, software support, cybersecurity compliance, troubleshooting, and backup management for classified environments. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting DoD systems, maintaining compliance with DISA STIGs and AFNETOPS directives, and working in fast-paced operational environments supporting mission systems and end users.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Windows and Unix/Linux-based servers and workstations supporting C2 and Intelligence Systems
  • Provide support for installed mission applications, including software updates, releases, patches, and Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNOs)
  • Monitor, maintain, and review system audit logs for failures, failure prediction, and IA accountability
  • Create, manage, schedule, and test system backups in accordance with approved maintenance plans and schedules
  • Perform basic database maintenance activities in accordance with approved maintenance procedures
  • Ensure compliance with IA policies and procedures, including DISA STIGs and AFNETOPS directives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through ticketing systems while supporting high operational availability
  • Manage OEM software support and coordinate with vendors as required
  • Support and resolve approximately 2,000 trouble tickets quarterly for supported systems and applications
  • Collaborate with technical teams, cybersecurity personnel, and program leadership to support operational mission requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Active DoD IAT Level II certification required
  • Experience administrating Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems in enterprise or DoD environments
  • Knowledge of system patching, software updates, backups, and cybersecurity compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with DISA STIG implementation, audit log analysis, and IA best practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-related issues in mission-critical environments
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and responding to technical support requests in a timely manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and system records
  • Experience using ticketing systems to track and resolve technical issues

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience supporting Command and Control (C2) or Intelligence Systems
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Knowledge of database administration and enterprise monitoring tools
  • Prior experience supporting Air Force or Joint operational environments
  • Experience coordinating OEM software support and lifecycle management

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of technical training, certifications, and relevant work experience may be considered
  • 1-3 years of experience administering Windows and/or Unix/Linux systems in enterprise or DoD environments preferred
  • Relevant DoD 8570/8140 compliant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent preferred

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance required.

Travel Requirement: Occasional travel may be required less than 10%.
