Entry-Level IT Support Specialist Location: Los Angeles, CA Pay: Up to $28.00/hour (DOE) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday Job Summary We are seeking an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist to join a growing construction and service organization based in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in IT while gaining hands-on experience supporting both office staff and field employees. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Technical Support Provide first-level technical support for office and field employees. Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and common software issues. Set up new employee workstations, user accounts, email access, and equipment.

Install, configure, and update software applications. Assist with password resets and user access requests. Respond to IT support tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Network & Systems Support Assist with maintaining company network, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and VPN access. Help troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Support the maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.

Coordinate with vendors for internet and phone service support when needed. Cybersecurity Assist in maintaining antivirus software and endpoint security. Help ensure security patches and software updates are applied.

Support multi-factor authentication (MFA) administration. Follow company cybersecurity policies and best practices. Hardware & Asset Management Prepare and deploy computers, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.

Maintain inventory of IT equipment and technology assets. Coordinate equipment repairs and warranty service. Assist with company phone and tablet management.

Data & Backup Support Help monitor backup systems and verify successful backups. Assist with maintaining secure data storage and organization. Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.

Field Technology Support Provide technical support for tablets and mobile devices used by field personnel. Assist with GPS vehicle tracking and dash camera systems. Troubleshoot connectivity issues for remote job sites.

Support electronic timekeeping and field reporting applications. Documentation Maintain IT documentation, asset inventories, and equipment records. Create simple user guides and documentation for common procedures.

Keep technology standards and support documentation up to date. Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 0–2 years of IT support or Help Desk experience.

Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity with computer hardware, printers, mobile devices, and networking fundamentals. Understanding of Active Directory, user account management, or Microsoft Entra ID is a plus.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred, as occasional travel to local job sites may be required. Preferred Skills Experience with ticketing systems. Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP).

Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Azure/Entra ID, VPNs, or endpoint management tools. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and MFA. Benefits Competitive hourly pay up to $28.00/hour, depending on experience.
