Position Overview

Citrus Motors is looking for a motivated, analytical, and career-driven individual to join our organization as a Parts Manager Trainee.

This position is designed for a college graduate who wants to build a career in operations and management. An MBA or graduate degree is preferred, particularly for candidates with education or experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Automotive dealership experience is not required. We are looking for someone with the intelligence, work ethic, leadership potential, and problem-solving ability to learn the business and eventually take responsibility for managing a high-volume parts operation.

What You Will Learn

Working directly with dealership leadership and our parts operations, you will receive hands-on experience in:

• Inventory management and inventory optimization
• Supply chain and logistics
• Purchasing and vendor management
• Parts distribution and wholesale operations
• Inventory forecasting and demand planning
• Warehouse organization and efficiency
• Delivery route and transportation management
• Financial statement and departmental P&L analysis
• Gross profit and margin management
• Expense control
• Employee productivity and staffing
• Process improvement
• KPI development and performance management
• Dealership management systems and automotive technology
• Leadership and employee development

Our operation includes Ford and Kia dealerships, a large fleet service operation, wholesale parts distribution, and retail/service parts operations, providing exposure to multiple areas of automotive supply chain management.

• Bachelor's degree required
• MBA preferred

This Is Not a Desk-Only Management Position

Our managers are expected to understand their operations from the ground up.

You will spend time learning warehouse operations, inventory processes, receiving, purchasing, wholesale distribution, dealership systems, service department operations, and financial management.

The goal is to develop someone who understands both the numbers and the operation behind the numbers.

Career Path

This is intended to be a management development position, not simply an entry-level parts job.

A successful trainee should progress toward increasing responsibility within our organization, with the potential career path of:

Parts Manager Trainee → Assistant Parts Manager → Parts Manager → Multi-Store Parts Management / Fixed Operations Leadership

Advancement will be based on performance, leadership ability, operational knowledge, and demonstrated results.
