Murgado Ford of Chicago, part of Murgado Automotive Group, is hiring Automotive Service Technicians at all experience levels. Whether you are an entry-level technician, lube technician, apprentice technician, mid-level technician, or experienced automotive technician, we offer the training, tools, mentorship, and career growth opportunities to help you succeed.
Job Summary:
As an Automotive Service Technician, you will inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair customer vehicles in a professional dealership service environment. Your responsibilities will be matched to your skill level, with opportunities to advance through hands-on experience, manufacturer training, and support from experienced team members.
What You'll Do:
Perform vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs based on your experience level.
Complete services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, alignments, fluid services, and multi-point inspections.
Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, transmission, drivability, and other mechanical concerns as your skills allow.
Use diagnostic tools, service information, and manufacturer guidelines to complete accurate repairs.
Communicate clearly with service advisors about vehicle findings, repair recommendations, and estimated timelines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following dealership and safety procedures.
Continue learning through mentorship, Ford training, ASE certification support, and career development opportunities.
What We're Looking For:
Automotive experience at any level is welcome, including entry-level, apprentice, express/lube, maintenance, mid-level, and experienced technician backgrounds.
ASE certification, Ford training, dealership experience, or technical school training is a plus, but not required for every role.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Ability to safely use shop tools and equipment; diagnostic tool experience is preferred for advanced technician opportunities.
High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift parts and tools as needed and work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
