Archer is an aerospace company developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This Software Integration Engineer role focuses on integrating onboard software stacks onto flight hardware, managing ground-control software, and executing comprehensive test campaigns for autonomous aircraft systems.

What You'll Do
  • Integrate the onboard software stack onto flight hardware, including flight controllers and companion compute systems
  • Own ground-control software and operator interface, supporting single-operator, multi-platform operation
  • Plan and execute test campaigns end-to-end, including test cards, instrumentation, and safety/site coordination
  • Perform post-test data analysis to gate program milestones
  • Own the overall operator experience from ground control to in-field operation and collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, perception, navigation, and autonomy teams
What You Need
  • Background in robotics or systems software engineering
  • Experience with ROS 2 and Linux-based systems
  • Experience with MAVLink and PX4/ArduPilot
  • Experience with ground control station (GCS) or human-machine interface (HMI) development
  • Hands-on test experience with small aircraft or robotic platforms, including data analysis using Python or MATLAB
Nice to Have
  • Part 107 certification or airspace-authorization experience
  • Front-end development experience for operator interfaces
  • Experience supporting field test operations

Base pay $140,000-$260,000. Actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
